Ankit Kanodia is a CA turned Advocate practicing in the Indirect Taxation domain. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from St. Xavier’s College (Rank 12) in Kolkata. Ankit additionally received his LLB and LLM degree from Vidyasagar University with a distinction placing him in the first division. He is also a qualified Company Secretary and rank holder.

Ankit gained immense experience working with the Big 4 in the consulting industry where he specialized in the field of indirect taxation. Ankit commenced his Chartered Accounting practice in 2012 and served as Partner at S. K. Kanodia & Associates, Kolkata where he headed the Indirect Tax Practice arm of this prestigious firm and also handled the firm’s major representational assignments before the Adjudicating Authorities & various Appellate Authorities including the CESTAT. From 2021, Ankit has started his journey as an Advocate practicing in Indirect Tax Laws.

Ankit cleared the Certificate Course on Indirect Taxes from ICAI and is a co opted member of IDT Committee of The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, DTPA, Views Exchange CA study Circle etc. Being immensely experienced in the field of indirect taxation, Ankit finds time to lecture professionals and corporates on this subject. Ankit has also been invited to over 100 events across India to share his knowledge about GST through lectures. He is also a Sub Group Member of the Indirect Tax Committee of EIRC of ICAI and was also a Special Invitee to the Research Committee of the EIRC ICAI for various years.

He has been chosen as a member of the Kolkata Study Group of ICAI, New Delhi for Indirect Taxes. He is also a Certified IDT Faculty of the ICAI, New Delhi.

He is the Chairman of the GST Committee of DTPA CA SC for 21-22 and also a special invitee to the ACAE CA SC for the year 21-22.

Ankit has authored two books on Service Tax Ready Referencer and Bare Acts (Lawpoint Publications Kolkata) and published numerous articles in various journals and magazines. He is also a co author in the recent publication of GST CASE LAW DIGEST from the house of TEAM SKKA fore worded by the STATE GST COMMISSIONER.
